Pilgrims on foot follow the Compostela paths of the Centre-Val de Loire region by taking GR® long-distance hiking paths and local routes marked out by these associations, which are partly based on historic paths. The vocation of these GR® being essentially focused on hiking and tourism, their routes can quite often deviate, in our region, from the route of the so-called associative paths (several tens of kilometers sometimes). These also make it possible to avoid certain lengths or dangerous passages.

To find out more about the way, its general characteristics, the route management associations, click on the corresponding blue rectangle.

The marked routes presented on the site only take paths without particular risks, open to all and authorized. The course on the ground of the paths can, at any time, be modified by the various actors of the Path (modification of route), interrupted for various reasons (private properties, decrees, local developments, land consolidation, establishment of new equipment, etc …) or by natural events or phenomena (landslides, scree, …).
