The Way of Vézelay (Via Lemovicensis) begins in Vézelay and is divided into two routes, one passing through Bourges, the other through Nevers. It crosses the Loire at La Charité, then Bourges or Neuvy-Saint-Sépulcre. These itineraries allow you to discover Berry, rural and green, rich in an exceptional historical heritage: forests, ponds, wine-growing hillsides, Renaissance castles, Romanesque churches and villages classified among the most beautiful in France.
The Voie de Vézelay crosses two departments of the Centre-Val de Loire region (CVL), Cher (18) and Indre (36). Two routes are possible : The way passing through Bourges and the way passing through Nevers.
In the Centre-Val de Loire region, a single association ensures the development and maintenance of the ways to Compostela for these two departments : Les Amis et Pèlerins de Saint-Jacques de la Voie de Vézelay.
