The ways of Tours and Vézelay, as well as the Dieppe route and the one that goes towards Mont Saint-Michel, cross one or more of the six departments of the Centre-Val de Loire region : Eure-et-Loir (Chartres), Loir-et-Cher (Vendôme or Blois), Loiret (Orléans), Indre-et-Loire (Tours), Cher (Bourges) et Indre (Chateauroux).
Four departmental pilgrims associations in the region (Compostelle45, Compostelle37, Compostelle28, Compostelle41) and the APSJVV association (Les Amis et Pèlerins de Saint-Jacques de la Voie de Vézelay), ensure the development, maintenance and promotion of the ways of pilgrimage to Compostela which passes through the Centre-Val de Loire region.
